Adrien Broner Splits with PBC and Joins BLK Prime!

Four-divisional champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (34-4-1-1, 24KO) has officially parted ways with Premier Boxing Champions and joined streaming app BLK Prime Boxing. The streaming app made the boxing community choke on their drinks with reports of signing WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford to fight against David Avanesyan.

BRONER GETS ANOTHER CHANCE AT BOXING AGAIN

Apparently, they are interested in being a serious player in the sport by acquiring the services of Broner. In a press conference on Blue Blood Sports TV, The Problem was more than happy to express excitement about this new venture.

“This a very, very special time for me. I am very grateful because I’ve been through a lot of situations. That’s why I always thank God, especially for this day today. I had a lot of ups and downs in the sport, but he always finds another way to give me another chance to take over boxing.”

“I want to give a very special shout-out to my man Desmond […] CEO of BLK Prime. I just want to thank him for believing in me and getting this deal done.”

EXCITED ABOUT THINGS TO COME

In typical fashion, Broner quickly went into hype mode. He compared this move to Suge Knight of Death Row Records signing of Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur. Broner ended things with a famous song from Shakur and is ready to take over.

“After this drop, you know all eyes gone be on me […] Ain’t no middleman! It’s just me, and my homeboy Dez, man. And, with About Billions (his promotional company) and BLK Prime, we taking over the world. So y’all just get ready. It’s just getting started”

Broner was supposed to fight former WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa, but pulled out days before their August 20 showdown claiming mental health issues. Furthermore, he has not been in the ring since an unimpressive victory over Jovanie Santiago in 2021.

Broner has again received a lifeline and is hopeful of reclaiming his career heading into 2023.
