Chris Kongo Takes Away Florian Marku’s Undefeated Record
In a welterweight contest, Chris “2Slick” Congo (15-2, 7KO) easily outboxed Florian “Albanian King” Marku (13-1-1, 8KO).
2Slick quickly went to using the jab and his pure boxing ability. He maintained distance and landed right hands on several occasions.
The Albanian King continued to march forward, throwing looping wide shots. He did land some decent body shots, but was having trouble dealing with Kongo’s movement.
Over the next couple of rounds, Kongo mixed up the attack by going to the body before landing the uppercuts. His defense was on point as he would quickly spin off the ropes, keeping the fight at mid-range.
A frustrated Marku was deducted a point for hitting behind the head in the eighth round. His night didn’t get any better as 2Slick continued to feed him jabs, hooks to the body, and uppercuts.
This was a good comeback performance for Kongo, with his career in question. The scorecards read 98-92, 96-93, and 96-94 in favor of Kongo.
This victory will give his career a boost as 2Slick promised to continue to remain disciplined moving forward.
