Higa stripped of WBC 112lbs title!
Daigo Higa (15-0,15KO’s) was set to put his WBC Flyweight Title against Cristofer Rosales (26-3,17KO’s). However, plans have changed as Higa failed to make weight.
He was set to make his 3rd defense of the title but came in 2 pounds above the 112 limit. It’s a disappointing development in the young man’s career. The fight is pending medical clearance as he can not exceed 122 lbs for the second day weigh-in.
To Rosales’ credit he came in at 111.3 and should the fight go on, he has a chance to pick up the now vacant title. Stay tuned as 3KingsBoxing.com will monitor the situation and will provide more updates on this matter.
