Gervonta Davis: I’m going for a better knockout than Deontay Wilder!
Former two-time junior lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (22-0, 21KO) will clash with former two-time featherweight champion Yuriokis Gamboa (30-2, 18KO) on December 28. Ahead of the WBA regular lightweight clash, Tank has revealed bold intentions for the match. He plans to top the brutal knockout WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder gained over Luis Ortiz on November 23.
Both Davis and Wilder are big punchers, as indicated by their high knockout ratios.
When Davis returns to the squared circle, he’ll have an excellent chance to score a highlight-reel knockout against the highly skilled but aging and shaky-chinned Gamboa.
He told media the following on trying to top his PBC stablemate:
“I’m going for better.”
Simple and straight to the point from Davis, who looks to claim his second world title when he battles Gamboa for the vacant WBA lightweight title.
