Ryan Garcia Vents Again on Social Media!

Undefeated rising lightweight Ryan “The Flash” Garcia (18-0, 15KO) once again takes to social media venting his frustration.

This summer has been a character test for Golden Boy Promotions’ Oscar De La Hoya. There has been inside fighting between himself and his fighters and the in-house issues with his two young proteges continue to air publicly.

PROBLEM SOLVED

Boxing’s biggest star Canelo Alvarez was upset about losing the IBF title, being unaware of a deal made by his promotional team. However, things seem to have been settled following the move up to fight WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev.

With that resolved, there is still a second fire to deal with in Mr. Garcia, who seems to still feel a bit slighted. The missed fight card that couldn’t be salvaged due to unforeseen circumstances hasn’t helped matters either.

In a recent interview with The LA Times, De La Hoya assured after speaking to the young fighter, they are on the same page.

“Ryan has a lot of voices in his ear right now that’s fine. I’ve been through it myself but it’s unfortunate because the miscommunication isn’t between us, it’s his people.”

“We’re going to have an emergency meeting to get everything resolved and we’re going to move on. We’re fine.”

PROBLEM NOT SOLVED

This fire should be a smoldering smoke given that comment. However, it seems that the heat just got turned up even more.

Garcia was definitely perplexed by the statements. At least if considering his taking to social media with two very pointed tweets asking to be released and saying he hasn’t spoken to the Golden Boy CEO.

This back and fourth doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. It’s astonishing to see being made so public considering how good Golden Boy normally is doing damage control with situations like this.
