Joe Joyce-Marco Huck ordered by EBU
A fight between rising heavyweight contender Joe Joyce (10-0, 9KOs) and former long-time cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (41-5-1, 28KOs) has been ordered by the EBU. The sides have until October 10 to reach an agreement or the fight will go to a purse bid.
Joyce and Huck, if a deal is reached, will fight for the vacant title which was recently relinquished by unbeaten Agit Kabayel (19-0, 13KOs). This will be yet another step in Joyce’s career as he continues his pursuit of a world title opportunity. For Huck, an upset victory would earn him a feather in his cap and get him into title contention.
Huck is coming off a no contest back in May against Nick Guivas. Joyce is coming off a unanimous decision over longtime heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings back in July.
