Ramirez will defend his 168lb WBO in Oklahoma
WBO Super Middleweight champion Gilberto Ramirez will return to the ring June 30th to face undefeated prospect Roamer Angulo. The bout is set to take place at the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City, Top Rank’s Carl Moretti told 3KingsBoxing.com.
Ramirez won his title in April of 2016 when he defeated Arthur Abraham. His most recent fight took place in February when he defeated Habib Ahmed by TKO.
Angulo, of Colombia, is somewhat unknown to American fans but does bring a 23-0 record with 20 knockouts into the contest.
The fight is expected to be a Top Rank on ESPN show. The undercard for the event is yet to be announced.
