A CHALLENGER ON THE HORIZON

A rematch sounds good, but Vargas will unlikely agree to a rematch after narrowly escaping with the title. Something that Ball once admitted to shortly following the fight. With that being said, he could end up possibly fighting Fulton later in 2024.

The former unified champion has not been in the ring since losing to undisputed champion Naoya Inoue in July 2023. Yet, he is ranked number one by the WBA. Despite suffering the first defeat of his career, the Philadelphian is still a talented fighter with high-level skills.

Fulton is supposed to return to the ring on the undercard of Abdul “Tank” Wahid (Gervonta Davis) facing Frank Martin on June 15. There has been no official announcement as of the writing of this article.

Cool Boy Steph is eager to capture a world title and would jump at the idea of fighting Ball.
