Guillermo Rigondeaux not worried about John Casimero’s power!
On August 14, two champions will collide in a very intriguing fight. Hard-hitting Filipino three-division champion and current WBO bantamweight champion John Riel “Quadro Alas” Casimero (30-4, 21KOs) will take on defensive wizard and two-division world champion and current WBA Regular bantamweight champion Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux (20-1, 13KOs).

This is a battle of contrasting styles. Obviously, both men have power, especially Casimero. Yet Rigondeaux is a man many note for the tremendous defense he has displayed many times throughout his career. However, at the age of 40, his reflexes have diminished to the point where he has become more of an offensive fighter.
RIGONDEAUX KNOWS THE DANGER, BUT ISN’T WORRIED!
Rigondeaux has been knocked down multiple times throughout his career. Therefore, he knows the danger heading into his fight with Casimero. Yet, he insists he is not worried about the power the Filipino puncher possesses.
At their recent press conference, the Cuban said the following regarding the power of his opponent.
“I don’t worry about that, I don’t worry about anything. I’ve fought in three different divisions 118, 122 and 130, and I’ve been able to go after any challenge that I’ve faced. So Casimero’s power is no concern to me, whatsoever.”
You have to love the confidence displayed by Rigondeaux. However, once he tastes the power of Casimero, how will he react? We all will find out come August 14, live on Showtime.
