Thanderz Speaks on Ramos Bout and World Title
The WBC Interim super featherweight titlist Katharina Thanderz (13-0, 2ko), is primed, poised and ready for a world title opportunity. It all starts now, a life long dream is only a contract offer away from becoming a reality.
On November 16 2019, the undefeated female fighter captured the Interim title by defeating Argentine fighter Danila Ramos (8-1, 1ko) via split decision in a very hard fought battle.
The joyful Interim belt holder took sometime out to speak to 3kingsboxing, giving us an assessment of the fight and hopeful future plans.
“It was a really hard fight. My opponent came to win and gave me a tough tough fight.”
“We both gave our everything and I ended up victorious after 10 rounds. While she had a higher activity, I landed the cleaner and hard shots.”
When asked if a world title shot was still part of the plan, the always gracious interim titlist replied:
“That’s my dream.”
Before looking too far ahead at the title, it’s a waiting game with the WBC champion Eva Wahlstrom (22-1-2, 3ko). Wahlstrom will be making a hometown defense of the title against Consolata Musanga (8-4-3, 6ko) on November 30. If the champion is successful in retaining the title, going into 2020, things looks promising for these two women to met.
Thanderz has been working hard for this opportunity and one thing is for sure, she is ready and eager to fulfill a life long dream.
