Abraham Nova And Humberto Galindo Ends With A Draw

In a junior lightweight battle with little action, Abraham “El Super” Nova (23-3-1, 16KO) and Humberto Galindo (14-3-3, 11KO) ended in a draw.

This fight got underway immediately when the bell sounded. Galindo cranked up the power shots early and hurt El Super with a straight right hand. Looking to get the jab going, he attacked whenever Nova back-touched the ropes.

Nova tried to control the fight with the jab and halted his opponent’s forward progress. In the middle rounds, he found success with the right hand and used his legs to get out of the way of any return-fire.

These rounds could be hard to score by the judges as Galindo was constantly coming forward, landing punches in spurts. Nova boxed and landed a counter-punch but remained on the back foot.

Down the stretch, he picked up the pace and threw punches to the body and head. Galindo waited until the end before letting his hands go to attack.

This author wasn’t surprised the fight ended in a draw as neither fighter did enough to be declared the winner.
