Azim Name Possible Next Opponents After Beating Davies
Rising junior welterweight Adam “The Assassin” Azim (12-0, 9KO) easily stopped Ohara “Two Tanks” Davies (25-4, 18KO) in eight.
Azim went after Davies from the opening bell behind that power jab. He fought with extreme confidence off the front foot and landed pinpoint accurate right hands.
Two Tanks struggled to get any offense going, as Azim’s fast hands kept him on the back foot. He landed a decent hook but was later put on the canvas by a punishing body shot in round five.
The Assassin repeatedly beat his opponent to the punch while stalking from corner to corner. It became increasingly obvious this fight wasn’t going to go the distance.
Azim turned up the heat and attacked with relentless pressure. He landed a painful left hook that dropped Davies to the canvas, which ended the fight in the eighth round.
During the post-fight interview, Davies hints at retiring, as Azim expressed wanting to fight Dalton Smith, and Harlem Eubank in 2025.
Team Azim should target Smith considering they have a history. The two fighters were ordered by the British Boxing Board of Commission to fight for the domestic title. However, the fight never materialized and Azim vacated.
