Amanda Serrano wants an answer from Mrdjenovich

Seven-divisional female champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (39-1-1, 29ko) feels some kind of way that unified featherweight champion Jelena Mrdjenovich (41-10-2, 19ko) did not acknowledge her call out.

The Puerto Rican champion was successful in her fight against Dahiana Santana (36-13, 15ko), an opponent she knocked out before in 2017, and history most definitely repeated itself on December 16. Moreover, this time she knocked out the Dominican fighter in the first round.

WAITING FOR AN ANSWER

During the post-fight interview, Serrano called out the unified champion and is waiting for a response. Furthermore, the Canadian unified champion was in action against Paola Torres on December 17. It was certain she was watching, waiting to see if the challenge will be accepted.

Furthermore, Serrano was not impressed with how the champion was fighting and made it known on social media.

Nevertheless, after the fight, Mrdjenovich was full of emotion fighting for the first time without long-time trainer Milan Lubovac. So when she was asked about what is next, the champion would cut off the commentator with her answer.

“Listen, this was my night tonight, I don’t even want to talk about anybody right now. This was about me getting out of here mentally and emotionally safe. We are going through a tough time right now with COVID I am going through a tough time going through depression with Milan.”

“This isn’t about anybody else. This is about my night tonight with my new family, with my people, with my new fans here. I don’t care about anybody else. Let me celebrate.”

Now, of course, the latter statement got up under the skin of the Puerto Rican fighter. Moreover, she took to social media to vent out her frustration about not getting an answer, plus responded to the Canadian champion saying she was a beast at featherweight.
