Demetrius Andrade-Luke Keeler possible for January 31

3kingsboxing.com has learned that reigning WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (28-0, 17KOs) is likely to return on January 31 against relative unknown Luke Keeler (17-2-1, 5KOs).

Andrade, a former two-division world champion, last fought on June 29 against Maciej Sulecki (28-2, 11KOs). The talented 2008 U.S. Olympian has yet to face a top contender or fell a champion at middleweight. He has to take care of business against Keeler in order to make those aspirations happen.

As for Keeler, the 32-year-old is from Ireland and has faced limited competition to say the least. He did, however, make a mild step-up in competition in August when he out-pointed former middleweight prospect Luis Arias (18-2-1, 9KOs).

Obviously, this isn’t the fight Andrade or boxing fans and pundits want to see him in. But for now, this is what we’ll get. Hopefully bigger foes are on the horizon for the talented middleweight champion.

3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
