Andy Ruiz vs Jarrell Miller Produces No Winners

In a must-win battle for both men, heavyweights Andy “The Destroyer” Ruiz (35-2-1, 22 KOs) and Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) fought to a majority draw.

To open the match, Ruiz came out fighting off the back foot very well by putting those fast hands to good use. For his part, Miller did not do much outside of walking forward and trying to apply physical pressure on Ruiz.
With the coming of the fourth round, however, The Destroyer appeared to start slowing down a great deal.

As Ruiz became more lethargic, Big Baby swept the middle rounds with ease. Yet, to the chagrin of the viewing audience, both of the large heavyweights competed in a slow and rather sluggish fashion during much of the second half of the contest.

Unfortunately, there was no final surge by either boxer during the last rounds, and ended in a steady but underwhelming fashion. As a result, when the fight went to the scorecards it was ruled a draw with the scores of 116-112 for Miller and 114-114 twice.
