Bob Arum amongst the promoters that are strongly pursuing deals with Pacquiao
Bob Arum flew out to the Philippines to discuss a potential deal with the eight division world champion. As reported previously by 3kingsboxing.com, Pacquiao himself announced that he was now a promotional free agent.
As of now, no deal has been made. However, Arum revealed that Manny stated he plans to fight three more times before finally calling it a career. He would like to fight once more in 2018 and twice in 2019. He’s expected to return in December against an opponent yet to be determined.
Earlier in the week, Eddie Hearn confirmed that he was in talks with Pacquiao in hopes of bringing him in on DAZN. A direct competitor of Bob Arum and ESPN, Hearn figures to least have a chance swaying Manny.
Manny knows he’s a wanted man and can potentially use the two men against each other to get the deal he’s looking for. One thing is for sure, there won’t be a shortage of opportunities for the future Hall Of Famer no matter what he decides to do.
