Ball pulls out of fight with Richards due to a hand injury!

In what was supposed to be a showdown between once beaten light heavyweight prospects unfortunately will not take place.

Jake Ball (12-1, 9KOs) has pulled out of his fight with Craig Richards (12-1, 6KOs) due to a hand injury. The fight was scheduled to take place on Matchroom’s Cooper Box show. Ball would’ve been defending his WBA inter-continental light heavyweight title for the first time.

A disappointed Richards let his feelings be known saying this on Twitter:

“14 week camp an Jake no balls has decided his pulling out cause this! 3 dates I’ve waited an yet again his not fighting so no fight with #noshowjake #noballs must be a sick joke this guys a time waster & should be stripped”

Jake Ball responded on twitter saying this:

“you absolute clown I’ve fought my last 2 championship fights with 1 hand and wont be doing it again. This is just a minor setback that can’t be helped, I’ve got no worries fighting you what so ever, I’m sure @EddieHearn can make this happen before the end of the year”

It’s clear these guys don’t like each other. Hopefully once Ball heals up, these two men can get in the ring and settle their differences.
