Albert Bell: “Jamel Herring took a lesser opponent!”

3kingsboxing.com’s Senior Journalist Jerrell “Big Kool” Fletcher sat down with rising junior lightweight contender “Prince” Albert Bell (16-0, 5KOs). The Toledo, Ohio Native amassed an amateur record 150-15 winning 4 national championships in the process.

As a pro, he is currently ranked #13 by the WBC and was nearly scheduled to face WBO champion Jamel “Semper Fi” Herring (21-2, 10KO) in July. However, the champion decided to take, as Bell put it, an “easier route!”

Bell last fought Frank De Alba (23-5-2, 9KO) on the under-card of WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson’s title clinching victory over Joet Gonzalez in October of 2019.
