Bill Haney Needs to Wait for his Son Devin to Prove He is Ready
Team Haney is under heavy fire after father Bill Haney posted some of the top names in the sport that his son Devin “The Dream” Haney wants to fight. Making things worse is The Dream is coming off a bad performance against former unified junior welterweight champion Jose Ramirez.
The elder Haney is known for talking and sparking up controversy. He is extremely confident in his son’s ability to beat anyone in the sport. However, he needs to slow down because the boxing public has doubts about his son’s mentality. With names like Gervonta Davis, Shakur Stevenson, Jaron Ennis, and Teofimo Lopez, no one believes Devin Haney beats any of them.
In addition, Haney’s star power dropped even more drastically after the Ramirez fight. Honestly, none of the names on the list would be interested in the fight as there is no financial motivation. He has a lot to prove before looking to callout anyone at the moment.
