Dmitry Bivol v Gilberto Ramirez Dated for November 5!
Super WBA 175-pound champion Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11KOs) will return to the ring against former WBO 168-pound champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (44-0, 30KOs) on November 5. This fight has been long pursued by Ramirez, who accused Bivol of ducking him. However, with the fight being a done deal, all of that talk can now cease. Now the mandatory challenger has a chance to become a two-division champion against one of boxing’s best pound for pound boxers.
After his one-sided domination of undisputed 168-pound champion Canelo Alvarez back in May, it was thought that there would be an immediate rematch. But after some thought, Alvarez decided against that and elected to face bitter rival Gennady Golovkin for a third time.
Ramirez is coming off an easy fourth round KO victory over Dominic Boesel back in May. This fight holds a lot of excitement and intrigue. Bivol is an exceptional boxer and Ramirez is a long-range fighter with very good power. It should be an interesting clash come November 5. The location of the fight is not yet official, but it will air on DAZN.
