Chantelle Cameron to Fight Jessica McCaskill for Undisputed at Junior Welterweight!

There are several fights in women’s boxing that fans are excited to see. Now, adding to that excitement are undisputed welterweight champion Jessica “CasKilla” McCaskill (12-2, 2KO) and unified junior welterweight champion Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (16-0, 8KO).

This is a fight both fighters have been talking about. After CasKilla defended the undisputed status against Alma Ibarra, she called on Il Capo to fight. McCaskill is a former unified champion at junior welterweight. Her first world title, the WBC belt, is currently in possession of Cameron.

Cameron was on track to fight for undisputed against rival unified champion Kali Reis. Their fight has been sidelined with Reis pulling out due to health issues. It is uncertain if she is going to return. While speaking with 3Kings Boxing, Cameron showed interest in the fight with McCaskill only if it was for undisputed.

During an interview with Sloth Boxx, Cameron mentioned news of a big fight coming up soon without revealing the opponent.

“I’m signed into a big fight now. It’s the fight I wanted, and I am waiting on it to be announced. It should be any day.”

Adding more fuel to the fire, McCaskill’s manager, Rick Ramos had fans in a frenzy following a cryptic message on social media. It hinted that news of a big fight was soon to drop.

UNDISPUTED IS NEXT

The boxing community no longer must ponder what the news is about as DAZN Boxing has released a promotional poster on social media.

DAZN announces Cameron v McCaskill Undisputed Championship fight

Their fight will be on the undercard of WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol versus mandatory challenger Gilberto Ramirez. The fight being for undisputed at junior welterweight implies Reis will be vacating the titles for the belts to be added to the event.

This is a golden opportunity for both champions as McCaskill can add to her legacy by becoming undisputed in two weight divisions. Cameron is finally getting the dream fight of a lifetime and the opportunity to be crowned an undisputed champion.
