Campbell looking to return in December!
WBC silver champion Luke Campbell is fresh off a one-sided victory, avenging his 2015 loss to Yvan Mendy in September. He is now looking to return to the ring by the end of the year.
Possibilities for his return are on the under-card Canelo-Fielding December 15 or Whyte-Chisora 2 December 22.
The 31 year-old is the mandatory to WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia. As previously reported by 3kingsboxing.com Garcia is closing in on a deal to fight IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence in 2019.
That leaves Campbell with two options. Wait on the sidelines for a shot at Garcia sometime in 2019 or stay active. It should be noted that Garcia has already vacated his IBF lightweight title, therefore, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he did the same with his WBC belt.
