Carlos Castro breaks down Cesar Juarez in 4!
Carlos Castro, a rising super bantamweight contender looking to position himself for a future world title shot, would be in tough against an experienced Cesar Juarez.
The opening stanza would immediately show us what type of fight this would be! Juarez came out bringing the pressure. That, however, didn’t phase Castro. Castro would utilize every tool in his tool kit, jabbing from the outside and setting up beautiful combinations that left Juarez bewildered!
Round three saw Castro turn up the heat to 500 degrees! He would punish Juarez to the body with jabs, and left and right hooks would clearly hurt his over-matched opponent! Round four came and it was even more punishment for Juarez. Castro’s continued assault to the body and head of Juarez would ultimately force his opponent’s corner to stop the fight at the end of the round.
OVERALL THOUGHTS!
Castro, who improved his record to 27-0, 11 KOs, showed discipline, versatility, composure and focus to go along with tremendous technique. The future seems bright for the Phoenix, Arizona native.
In his post-fight interview, he called out WBC super bantamweight champion Rey Vargas (34-0, 22KOs). Castro is ranked number two in the WBC standings, so that fight is possible if he continues his winning ways.
