Jono Carroll warns Scott Quigg!
With a little over two months to go before former title contender Jono Carroll (17-1-1, 3KOs) steps in the ring with former WBA super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg (35-2-2, 26KOs) on March 7, the confident Irishman has sent a stern warning to his counterpart via social media.
“I’m going to smash your head in mate! I can’t wait! Just make sure you show up!”
Obviously, the former champion didn’t take too kindly to that threat, or really take it serious as he fired back!
“You won’t be smashing fuck all in you feather fisted tit!”
If you’re wondering as to why Quigg referred to Carroll as feather-fisted, it’s because in 19 fights, Carroll has only been able to score three knockouts, which equals to about a 15 percent knockout ratio.
So it’s clear that he won’t be heading into this match-up with the power that Quigg plans to bring. On the other hand, Quigg has very good power scoring, 26 stoppage victories in 39 career bouts.
This should be an entertaining fight on March 7 as both men face-off in a crossroads bout. This one could go a long way in getting either man back in position to challenge for a world title.
