Dereck Chisora Wants to Face Deontay Wilder In America!
Long-time heavyweight contender and former world title challenger Dereck “War” Chisora (32-12, 23KOs) isn’t letting his current three-fight losing streak deter him from fighting on. In attendance at the Kell Brook versus Amir Khan fight, he briefly spoke with Seconds Out. He mentioned wanting to face former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41KOs).
Chisora is known for his devastating punching power. Although, now he is keen on being on the receiving end of the destructive right hand of the Bronze Bomber.
“Hey, I’m a big fan of the Bronze Bomber. But you know what, before you hang ’em up, let me taste that power, baby; I want to come to America and fight you, brother.”
Chisora, one of boxing’s biggest characters and toughest fighters, has never been known to shy away from a tough challenge. His last three fights have come against former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker and current unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
While Chisora is interested in a fight with Wilder, at this current time, the Alabama native is uncertain if he will box again. 3Kings Boxing recently reported that the former champion is considering going on an Ayahuasca spiritual journey to help him decide whether or not to hang up the gloves or continue on.
It’ll be interesting to see how things shakeout, not only for Wilder, but also for Chisora, who’s clearly happy to continue his boxing career.
