Claressa Shields honored as top female athlete!
Undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields was honored as Sportswomen of the Year along with U.S soccer team star Megan Rapinoe.
Shields has enjoyed a tremendous year of success! She quickly became the face of women’s boxing. In April, she defeated the previously unbeaten middleweight champion Christiana Hammer in dominating fashion to unify all four major titles in just nine fights!
As a newcomer in the professional circuit, she’s already proven to be a transcendent talent with major mainstream appeal. Not only is she the undisputed champion, she also can stake claim to being a two division unified champion as she captured the WBC and IBF super middleweight titles in just her fourth professional outing.
It’s safe to say the future is bright for the flint, Michigan native as she continues to flourish as an outstanding boxer and role model.
We here at 3kingsboxing.com would like to congratulate her on a well deserved honor.
