Collins Omondi Ojal Defeats Georgij Fibich in Lack-luster Showing
On the undercard of Agit Kabayel vs Eugen Lazaridis, heavyweight prospect Collins Omondi “The African Lion” Ojal (4-0, 2 KO’s) claimed a unanimous decision win over Georgij Fibich (1-1, 1 KO).
Right from the beginning of the bout, the Nigerian boxer went straight after his opponent. Even though he was pressing the action by applying steady pressure, Ojal was not doing so in an irresponsible manner. While working behind the jab, he was able to push Fibich around the ring at will.
Sadly, this slow and uneventful blueprint defined the remainder of the dreary fight. Ojal was content to throw a truck load of jabs and move, while Fibich was not equipped to do much outside of eat the jab, oddly flail his arms around and throw the occasional wide shots.
When the lackluster contest went to the cards it was easy to predict the unanimous decision win for Ojal.
