Terence Crawford Hits at the Charlo Brothers Over Social Media

If everything goes according to plan, then WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (38-0, 29 KO’s) should next lace up the gloves to duel WBA super, IBF and WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. Understandably, similar to most top-flight fighters, Crawford is convinced that he’ll be victorious if he ever does collide with the unified champion.

In the event that Crawford did best Spence, he has already stated that he’d love to move up in weight and challenge undisputed super welterweight champion Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KO’s). Actually, he said he’d love to fight the winner of the recent Charlo versus Brian Castano rematch.

Naturally that would be a blockbuster prizefight if events unfold in the manner that Bud hopes. After all, Charlo is fresh off that knockout win over Brian Castano which crowned him the undisputed champion in the first place. Therefore, that would pit two current undisputed champions against one another. Who can ask for better than that?!

BIA, BIA!!

Really, Crawford’s yearning to chuck knuckles with Charlo should come as no grand surprise. The two have been trading heated word for years. On this most recent occasion however, it was the larger, WBC middleweight champion Jermall “Hit Man” Charlo (32-0, 22 KO’s) who had something to say in reply.

While conducting an interview on the Last Stand Podcast with Brian Custer, Hit Man expressed his willingness to battle Crawford. He even went so far as to say that he’d come down from his 160 perch and meet Bud at 154. Predictably, Crawford was quick to respond.

FREAKY FRIDAY

In recent times, it’s normally been Jermell coming to his brother Jermall’s defense in social circles. This is because the Hit Man is steadfastly cultivating a reputation of only fighting lesser opposition when tougher tasks are readily available. As a result, Jermell has frequently defended his brother’s reputation and heart. Here the roles are a bit reversed.

It should provide a bit of entertainment to see how the undisputed champion responds. Given their naturally fiery nature, it’s a surefire bet that the Iron Man will have something to say. So, let’s sit back and see what it is!
