Terence Crawford claps back!

Social media has been burning up with fighters going back and forth. The fans have been getting their temporary fix with the sport being handcuffed in the back seat of the COVID-19 police car.

There hasn’t been a shortage of things to talk about and the recent topic of discussion is WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (36-0, 27ko). Moreover, the WBO champion’s name has dropped a lot lately and his responses will make you cringe.

Once, the Premier Boxing Champions flagship wasn’t trying to acknowledge the existence of the Nebraska champion. However, now it seems the ban has been lifted and all bets are off.

There is the trading of words with WBC Junior Middleweight champion Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (33-1, 17ko) that took on a life of its own. Then, there is the unified champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr’s (26-0, 21ko) “I will wash Terence Crawford” comment.

Furthermore, former unified champion Keith “One-Time” Thurman (29-1, 22ko), during an interview on the PBC social show called Time-Out, has been calling for a contract to fight the WBO champion.

CRAWFORD CLAPS BACK

Okay, so as we all know by now, anything that’s spreads on social media will get an immediate response.

The WBO champion isn’t buying whatever Thurman is selling. Furthermore, he sent a clear cut message to the former unified champion.

Crawford, feeling annoyed by all this, ended the night with a message for everyone that’s he feels is toying with him.

It isn’t uncommon for fighters to believe another fighter doesn’t want that work. Moreover, with Thurman sidelined recovering from an injury, this very well could be a ploy. However, Crawford should call the bluff of the former unified champion. There is a strong case that can be made as to why Team Crawford should look to consider a fight with the former unified Florida champion an option once boxing resumes

Thurman is coming off a defeat to a future Hall of Fame fighter WBA champion Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39ko). However, his name still holds value and Spence will likely have to step into the ring with WBC mandatory Danny “Swift” Garcia (36-2, 21ko).

The boxing community’s desire to see both Spence and Crawford in the ring staring across at each other needs to be satisfied. However, as an appetizer, a fight with Thurman will hold fans over until the main dish is served.
