Darrelle Valsaint vs Angel Ruiz Ends After Clash Of Heads


In a fight that started with plenty of action, junior middleweights Darrelle Valsaint (11-0-1, 9K) and Angel “Relampago” Ruiz (18-3-2, 13KO) ended in no contest.

Ruiz came out charging, looking to apply the pressure early against the undefeated prospect. He landed a few solid shots as Valsaint was on the back foot.

However, the Floridan came roaring back behind an educated jab and sharp counter shots. It was the kind of test he needed, and Valsaint was game.

With both fighters looking to attack, there was a clash of heads opening up a bad cut on Relampago. After examining the cut further, the ringside doctor declared the Mexican couldn’t continue making

In this author’s opinion, they should look to run it back in 2025.
