Demetrius Andrade Shades Jermall Charlo After Arrest
Some hard feelings never die! Case in point, the long-standing and quite annoying feud between WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (30-0, 18KO) and one half of the Charlo twins, WBC middleweight champion Jermall “Hit Man” Charlo (32-0, 22KO).
This latest shot from Andrade is a real personal one that will definitely sting and piss his rival off! Charlo was recently arrested in San Antonio, Texas and charged with a second degree felony robbery.
According to the incident report, Charlo is accused of taking money from a waitress, along with his ID after his debit card reportedly declined multiple times. This news has left him vulnerable to be shamed by Andrade, a guy he has genuine disdain for.
Over social media, the two-division champion would post to Charlo asking if he wanted him to ask his promoter Eddie Hearn if he could still get that seven million he wanted for the two to fight. He went even further to offer his rival the use of his debit card.
Ironically, the WBO champion had a brush with the law himself not too long ago. On December 6, 2018, Andrade was arrested and charged with gun possession in Providence, Rhode Island. The champ ultimately had to avoid another arrest while completing 100 hours of community service.
While many will look at this jab as distasteful, it’s clear he’s doing anything in his power to secure a big fight with Charlo. Will this latest attempt work? Let’s hope it does so these two men can finally settle their differences inside the squared circle!
