Daniel Dubois settles the beef with Nathan Gorman in dominating fashion!

Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois vs Nathan Gorman has been one of the more anticipated fights involving two prospects trying to become viable contenders in the sport!

3kingsboxing.com has mentioned numerous times in articles written in the past about this match-up and how great it would be!

Early-On

Gorman wanted to make some things clear early. First, he wanted to show he is the more technical man between the two. As most of us shared that sentiment prior to the fight, he wanted to show it!

Second, he wanted his opponent to know that he is just as strong. He repeatedly elected to land a big, chopping left hook early to show his opponent he means business.

This would also be the biggest mistake he made.

While he did utilize the ring and attempt to box from the outside at times, that was a defense mechanism. In elaboration, when he attempted to go toe-to-toe with the bigger Dubois in the first round, he would get caught by repeated right hands.

Dubois’ money shot is the chopping right hand setup by the jab and it has severely hurt ten out of eleven of his opponents. It even hurt longtime tough-man Kevin Johnson, the only fighter up to now to go the distance with Dynamite.

It was perplexing to see Gorman try to fight in a phone booth when that is not the right type of fight where he can use his advantages. Once he felt that power, he was a bit tentative to not only trade, but throw punches in general.

Matters would get worse as one of those shots opened up a cut over the left eye of Gorman in the second round.

Eventually, he would pay for his mistake as successive big right-hands floored the fighter from Cheshire. He would beat the count, but stayed on the retreat, attempting to counter off the ropes until the bell rang.

The Fight Ends Early

Those right-hands were ridiculously too easy for Dubois to land. If there were punch-stats available for the number of right-hands landed, Dynamite may have been in the 90 percentile!

Gorman seemed to underestimate his opponent. He may have believed all the talking he did prior to the fight would come to fruition without him actually executing the correct game-plan.

At the end of the day, the power was too much and it had the man from Cheshire retreating and looking to land a big left hook as Dubois stepped in the entire fight.

In round five, Gorman would be caught on the ropes again and a double-jab followed by…you guessed it…a BIG RIGHT-HAND put him down again! It looked as if he would beat the count, however, the referee waived it off.

Dubois stated prior that this would be an easy fight and he backed-up his talk. Gorman presented absolutely zero problems for Dubois and the latter showed he is a problem in the division.

Although, the outcome was relatively quick, this fight should send a statement to the rest of the fighters in the division. Gorman is 23 years-old and lost to a very good fighter. Therefore, this loss will not mean his career is over by a long-shot!

At the age of 21, the fighter from London captures the British heavyweight title with relative ease!
