Eddie Hearn Spoils Tyson Fury vs Andy Ruiz Jr Fight Announcement?
Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn may have given away the secret opponent for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (33-0-1, 24KO). According to the Hearn, former unified champion Andy “Destroyer” Ruiz (35-2, 22KO) will be the next foe for Fury.
On April 20 via Instagram, Fury updated fans that he will be back in action.
“So, I’ve got some massive, massive news coming. An imminent fight date and absolutely monstrous fight. Keep tuned cause the WBC world heavyweight king is back in action coming very, very soon.”

The WBC champion did not reveal the opponent or a fight date. Hearn did the honors of telling the boxing community during an interview with Boxing King Media, when asked for his opinion on who Fury will fight this summer.
“Andy Ruiz. July 22.”
Some fans will instantly doubt this, especially coming from Hearn, who is not even Fury’s promoter. But, Ruiz did make a post suggesting he wanted to fight The Gypsy King back in March. In addition, Ruiz is ranked number two by the WBC, which certainly makes him a fight candidate.
Whoever Tyson Fury ends up facing next, 3kingsboxing.com will be paying close attention to this situation.
