Eric Priest Puts On A Perfect Performance Against Tyler Howard
In a step-up fight, super middleweight Eric Priest easily defeated tough veteran Tyler “Hercules” Howard (20-3, 11KO) by shutout.
From the start of the bell, Priest used that jab to perfection. His slick movement and quick combination punches kept Hercules at bay in the early rounds.
Things didn’t change much in the middle rounds, as Priest was landing at will. The jab was money as he continued to land different variations of that punch. As the fight continued, the Texan started sitting down on the punches, landing power shots while using the angles to land even harder body shots.
Priest looked like a masterclass boxer instead of the typical pressure fighter that fans have seen in the past. He showed tremendous patience and never lost control of the fight.
This fight was easy to score as Priest continued to land punches against a limited opponent. In the end, no one was surprised all three judges scored 100-90 for the young undefeated fighter.
Now the holder of a WBA minor title, Priest will receive a good bump up in the rankings and has proved why Golden Boy feels they have a future world champion.
