Bakhtiyar Eyubov: I’m going to hunt him down!
Rising, unbeaten Philadelphia welterweight prospect Jaron “Boots” Ennis (24-0, 22KOs) was sent a warning by his once-defeated adversary Bakhtiyar Eyubov (14-1-1, 12KOs) ahead of their January 10 fight.
“It’s going to be Ennis’ hardest fight, I’m going to come in like a hunter and hunt him down. I’m going to put pressure on him, it’s a big money fight. I’m grateful, I’m hungry and I need to get through.”
Ennis is a physically gifted fighter with the height, athleticism and skills to compete against the best that 147 has to offer. So, he has to be prepared for a guy looking to throw a monkey wrench into his future plans.
With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Eyubov will no doubt look to expose any flaws that Ennis has. Coming into the fight with the hunter’s mindset, it’s no secret that he’ll come to make it a rough and rugged fight.
Will Ennis take another step towards the top contender status or will Eyubov pull off a major upset? We’ll find out come January 10.
