Verdejo has added to his team in hopes of getting back to form.
Coming off of his first professional loss, Felix Verdejo is looking to shake things up. He’s doing so by bringing in Memo Heredia as his strength and conditioning coach.
Back in March, Verdejo suffered a surprising TKO loss at the hands of Antonio Lozada Jr.
Verdejo is expected to return to the ring in September, although the date and location are yet to be known.
Heredia will fly out Kazakhstan, where he’ll join Verdejo who’s currently training with Beibut Shumenov.
Hopefully, the loss to Lozada Jr is a wake up call for Verdejo – a supremely talented fighter, though one whose focus and dedication could use a good polish. Perhaps the addition of Memo Heredia will help.
