Financial troubles have subsided and ESPN+ will pick up the fight!
ESPN+ will play host to renowned eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao and WBA Champion, Lucas Matthysse.
As previously reported, the fight between the two combatants faced financial obstacles.
After giving Matthysse’s team $500K as a signing bonus, MP Promotions (Pacquiao’s promotional company) missed multiple deadlines to fully fund the remaining $2 million dollars. The money was to be funded in an escrow account by a specific deadline in order to keep the fight scheduled.
Monday, the remaining funds were added to the account and the fight was on! Matthysse is now in Malaysia getting ready for what should be an interesting fight.
Depending on your location, the fight will take place on Saturday, July 14th for US fans wanting view the competition.
