On August 24 live on FS1 is the PBC bout between the undefeated super bantamweight prospect Brandon Figueroa (19-0, 14KO) and veteran Javier Nicolas Chacon (29-4-1, 9KO).

Figueroa is the younger brother of welterweight contender Omar Figueroa. He is coming off a TKO victory over Yonfrez Parejo for the interim WBA title.

The younger Figueroa, with a style similar to his brother, swarmed Parejo with punches in bunches until he retired on his stool after the eighth round. He not only throws a lot of punches, but can switch to southpaw. This makes him even more of a problem in the ring and is the reason Chacon will have his hands full come August 24.

The Argentinian Chacon has been knocked out three times before in his career and he is the heavy underdog going into this fight. However, he has been on a four-fight win streak since losing to former WBO champion Isaac Dogboe back in July 2017.

Chacon’s last win came in May against Diego Herminio Alejandro Sananco, where he won a sixth round decision.

This will be a big step up in challenge for Chacon against the #1 ranked WBA contender, who is looking to keep his “0” as he moves forward with his career!
