There is no denying Martin turned heads with three big wins in 2022. So much so that fans are excited to see what is next for the super-talented young man from Indianapolis.

Fighting under the watchful eye of 3kingsboxing.com 2022 Trainer of the Year Derrick James, The Ghost has emerged as one of the most talked about fighters in the division. In each step-up fight, he showed significant improvement by adapting to the different styles of his opponent.

THE FIGHT THAT GOT BOXING FANS WANTING TO SEE MORE

The fight that put him on the map was against Michel “La Zarza Ali” Rivera on December 17, 2022. Rivera was an undefeated top fighter and was within an eyeshot of a world championship. Boxing fans were all in on this fight. It featured two top, undefeated fighters in their prime putting a lot on the line. Coming in, pundits viewed the contest as a 50/50 match-up. However, The Ghost made it look easy!

Martin put on a display of speed, footwork, defense, and ring IQ that left the Las Vegas crowd in amazement. His rapid growth as a fighter is attributed to training alongside undisputed junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo and unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.

Furthermore, he went from being ranked #10 by the WBA to receiving a ranking within the top 10 by all four major sanctioning bodies. The biggest bump was a #2 spot by the WBA, putting Martin within range of a title bout.

The Ghost is in the mix with other top fighters such as Shakur Stevenson, William Zepeda, Gervonta Davis, and undisputed champion Devin Haney.
