Frank Warren Spells Out A New Case Where Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua Collapses

One of the biggest fights in the United Kingdom that fans want to see is WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (33-0-1, 24KO) and two-time unified champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua (25-3, 22KO). Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, stated the fight could never happen if Joshua lost to one-time WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

Fury took to social media looking to make the fight by claiming to have sent a draft contract to AJ for a showdown in September. By now, boxing fans are immune to receiving bad news as this is the third time fans are learning the fight won’t happen.

FRANK WARREN SAYS FANS MAY NEVER SEE FURY VS JOSHUA

Warren revealed on TalkSport Boxing that Team Joshua did not want the fight. Furthermore, he elaborated on the reason why it may never happen.

“George [Frank Warren’s son] met yesterday with AJ’s management company 258, and they’ve confirmed that AJ is fighting in Dubai in December; that’s his preferred route. Although he will have a fight, I think it’s August. They basically don’t want to do the fight yet.“

It was already public knowledge that Joshua and Wilder were finally going to step into the ring in December. However, Warren stated that a defeat to Deontay Wilder could kill any chance of fans ever seeing Fury vs Joshua.

“If AJ gets beat by Wilder, if this fight happens in Saudi [Arabia] in December, I don’t think so. Because he’ll have been beaten by a guy Tyson beat three times.”

This drama-filled merry-go-round situation is annoying. Warren kind of contradicted himself a little. He mentioned that Joshua could fight Fury and still fight Wilder in December. Well, win or lose against Wilder, why can’t Fury vs Joshua still happen?
