Fulton Pulls Out A MD Over Lopez
The opening bout of the night on PBC on FS1 from Hialeah Park in Miami, Florida Stephen Fulton (11-0, 5 KO) vs Adam Lopez (8-0, 3 KO) was a scheduled 8 round featherweight bout.
The action started slow with Fulton using his jab and Lopez coming forward. In the second Lopez hurt Fulton with a lead right hand but by the third round Fulton seem to have his bearing back by the second half of the round coming forward hitting Lopez with a nice combination.
By the fourth Fulton seemed to have established his jab as Lopez began bleeding badly from his nose. Fulton using the jab while trying to maintain his distance picking and choosing when to come forward. Lopez however showing his heart kept on coming forward trying to mount an attack but was getting caught often with a counter almost every time.
By the seventh round Fulton was in control of the fight, staying calm and working behind his jab. Fulton used his movement and every inch of the ring and just seemed to be the faster fighter. He would get the nod to remain unbeaten with a majority decision ( 76-76,78-74, 77-75) to improve to his record to 12-0, 5 KO.
