Gabriela Alaniz Supremely Confident Headed into Unification with Marlen Esparza
WBO flyweight champion “La Chucky” Gabriela Celeste Alaniz (14-0, 6KO) exudes unwavering confidence as she prepares for her upcoming clash against unified champion Marlen Esparza (13-1, 1KO).
With both fighters set to enter the ring on July 8, the winner will move one step closer to becoming the undisputed champion. Alaniz’s undefeated record only adds to her supreme confidence as she aims to secure more belts.
During an interview with The Ring, Alaniz refrained from revealing her specific game plan but emphasized her preparedness to claim all the titles at stake.
“My fight plan? You will see it on that day, round by round. I will return to my country with all the titles at stake that night. I am super-well prepared and focused for this fight. Since I became world champion I said that I wanted to face the champions in my category and Esparza is not the exception.”
ALANIZ VERSUS ESPARZA WAS INEVITABLE
Alaniz and Esparza have been on a collision course since Alaniz claimed the title by stopping then-champion Tamara Demarco in 2022. In her most recent bout, the Argentinian showcased her skills with another impressive stoppage, successfully defending her title against Debora Rengifo.

For the first time in her career, La Chucky will venture outside her home country to compete. Consequently, it becomes imperative for her to establish control over the fight right from the opening round.
With so much on the line, boxing fans can anticipate a captivating battle as both fighters bring their A-game to the ring.
