Gennady Golovkin and Eddie Hearn Form Partnership
Gennady “GGG” Golovkin is a making a major move!
3kingsboxing.com has learned former unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin is expected to announce he and promoter Eddie Hearn have formed a partnership.
There will be a press conference this week to formally announce the Golovkin vs Sergei Derveychenko vacant IBF middleweight title bout.
We expect Golovkin’s announcement to coincide with the conference and for the move to be permanent going forward.
With that, 360 Promotions head Tom Loeffler appears to be the odd man out. Notably, he helped guide GGG to the highest peak of his career.
Although, I can’t say that this is totally shocking. Earlier this year, rumors began circulating that a split between the two men was imminent. However, both men came out and refuted the chatter.
With this news, it seems like the two men have reached the end of a successful relationship. Loeffler was the one to bring Golovkin over to America back in September of 2012.
He also guided him to fights with former IBF middleweight champions Daniel Jacobs and David Lemieux, as well as current WBA middle and super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
