Devin Haney Fires Back At Bob Arum
The WBC champion in recess Devin Haney (24-0, 15KOs) has hit back at legendary promoter Bob Arum after getting wind of the comments made about him and where he stands among the current crop of lightweights.
As 3KingsBoxing previously reported, Arum took a dig at Haney in an interview conducted by Fight Hub Tv. There, he was quoted saying that there are at least 10 lightweights better than Haney.
Obviously not taking too kind to those words, the young upstart returned a mild mannered shot back! On his social, he questioned Arum’s sanity.
ADDING MORE FUEL TO THE FIRE!
Longtime Top Rank matchmaker and the stepson of Arum, Carl Moretti chimed in offering his two cents! He even went so far as offering to have Arum buy Haney two tickets to watch the Lomachenko-Lopez fight.
Clearly, Vasyl Lomachenko is the class of the division. After him, it’s a toss up with the likes of Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, Tefimo Lopez and the aforementioned Haney, all believing they’re the number one guy in the world at 135!
Haney, who has called out Lomachenko repeatedly with no success, will be a very interested spectator when Lomachenko and Lopez collide later this year!
Sooner or later, these men will have to step in the ring with each other and prove who’s really the man!
