Devin Haney Hits Floyd Schofield With a Body Shot Over Social Media!

Undisputed lightweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (29-0, 15KO) went savage on rising prospect Floyd Schofield Jr (13-0, 10KO) during a heated exchange on social media.

The history between these two goes back a few years stemming from a sparring session. According to Schofield Jr, The Dream was about to taste the canvas before trainer Bill Haney intervened.

This is not the first time Haney has had to deal with guys talking about touching him up in sparring. WBA Regular junior lightweight champion Hector Garcia mocked the undisputed champion, claiming to have gotten the better of him. This prompted Haney to release an edited clip where he was getting the best of Garcia.

Boxing fans for years have debated the sparring session between Haney and multi-divisional champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis. After hearing Davis claim to have almost stopped him, Haney responded by calling foul.

HANEY’S SAVAGE RESPONSE TO FLOYD SCHOFIELD

In his last outing, Schofield got a shutout victory over Alberto Mercado. Before the bout, it was revealed by commentators that Team Schofield kept dropping Haney’s name. He failed to get the knockout and this sparked questions about his ability.

Nonetheless, Haney went after the young man about the performance over social media.

Schofield is not on the undisputed champion’s radar right now. The truth is Haney won’t be in the division by the time the young prospect gets close enough for a title shot. Furthermore, Haney has an upcoming fight with former unified champion Vasyl Lomachenko to focus on.
