Devin Haney Quickly Shuts Down Ryan Garcia’s Accusation
WBC junior welterweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (31-0, 15KO) quickly hit back at “King Ry” Ryan Garcia’s (24-1, 22KO) steroid accusation. In addition, he named Oscar De La Hoya as a witness to him demanding VADA testing for their fight on April 20.
This situation has been burning all over social media since Garcia first indicated that Haney could be taking steroids. While speaking on Twitter’s X Space, the Californian went after the WBC champion for working with SNAC’s Victor Conte.
HE QUICKLY DEBUNKED THAT CLAIM
The Dream quickly fired back on social media using Garcia’s promoter, De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, to support his claim. In addition, he provided a document that debunks Garcia’s claim of him possibly using steroids.
Things did not end there as the two rivals continued to trade verbal shots with each other.
Before creating SNAC, Conte served time for distributing steroids through his company BALCO in 2005. King Ry used this information in retaliation for the time Haney accused him and former trainer Eddy Reynoso of using banned substances. Fans inside the boxing community believe this is another one of his antics instead of focusing on the upcoming fight.
The WBC champion has been ignoring all the trolling and erratic behavior of his arch-nemesis. Haney vowed that on fight night, Garcia will learn the same hard lesson he taught two-time champion Regis Prograis in December 2023.
In this author’s opinion, the Californian isn’t focused on the fight and won’t be fully prepared. The more Garcia continues with these pointless tactics, his chances of being victorious plummets even further.
