Two Filipino champions crowned in one night?
Donnie Nietes and Aston Palicte will battle for the vacant WBC super flyweight title on the televised portion of the upcoming Super Fly 3 card airing live on HBO.
However, another Filipino fighter featured on the non-televised portion of the card.
Fighting for a title and her name is Louisa “Bang Bang Lulu” Hawton (8-1, 4KO).
The Australian raised half-Filipina is coming off of a fourth-round KO victory back in June. She’ll be taking on Brenda “La Bonita” Flores for the vacant WBC minimumweight female title.
September 8 could see two Filipino fighters crowned champions. The 33 year old Hawton is looking to shine bright and become a first time champion.
