Hearn Offers Wilder Another Deal

Hearn says he’ll double Wilder’s pay for his next fight against whoever

With the Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder bout not happening, Eddie Hearn is hoping to get Wilder on DAZN. Hearn has confirmed that he has sent Wilder an email with two fights being offered.

The promoter is looking to showcase Wilder on DAZN in either October or November against an opponent of Wilder’s choice in America. The offer according to Hearn is 5 million dollars for Wilder to appear on the streaming network. Wilder has been linked to Dominic Breazeale for quite sometime now.

Will Wilder fight Breazeale next on DAZN? Well, that remains to be seen as Wilder went on a social media tirade aimed at Joshua and Hearn. The question here is will Wilder be willing to work with Hearn, something he has stated in the past that he would never do.

The deal is to appear on DAZN without the obligation of having to sign to Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing promotional company. Whether Wilder elects to fight Breazeale or not, Hearn just wants to feature the WBC heavyweight titlist on his platform.

The second fight offer actually is Anthony Joshua in April at Wembley in London. The offer according to Hearn is for a 15 million dollar flat fee. It must be noted this is basically the same deal Wilder verbally accepted before he received the contract without a date or venue.

The American champion has been very vocal on social media since both sides failed to reach a deal for the unification bout. Could this perhaps help establish a better relationship between the two sides? Hearn for his take is just looking to add dates to the upcoming streaming service DAZN. Can this give us a path to Wilder/Joshua in April? I guess we may soon know.
