Eddie Hearn want to make a clear distinction between Jarrell Miller and Dillian Whyte!
Ahead of his scheduled match-up with then-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, he failed three drug tests. According to Eddie Hearn, the disgraced heavyweight contender recently text him. What was the basis of the conversation? You’re probably wondering?
It was regarding what Miller perceived as the backing of Dillian Whyte in light of his reported failed drug test prior to his fight with Oscar Rivas on July 20.
WHAT WAS IN THE TEXT?
“Big Baby Miller text me, ‘Oh, I see you’re backing Dillian Whyte.’ I’m not ‘backing’ Dillian Whyte. we followed a process, we followed the rules.”
Since the news broke, more details have come out, which have caused more questions with still no answers provided. Although, we do know that Whyte had a hearing prior to the Rivas fight and was still allowed to proceed. We also know the UK Anti-Doping agency (UKAD) are the ones that caught the irregularities in Whyte’s result’s, not VADA like Miller’s situation.
Hearn immediately came to Whyte’s defense and admitted to having a hearing take place prior to the Rivas bout. He acknowledged that Whyte’s levels came back sketchy to say the least, but that he was still allowed to fight.
That’s the total opposite of when Miller got popped. While Hearn reserved judgement until Miller’s B sample came back, as soon as those results were confirmed, Miller was pretty much done with Hearn, who dissolved their working relationship.
The only difference between Whyte and Miller is the UKAD caught Whyte and VADA caught Miller. So, until Whyte’s B test comes back with a confirmation of the A test or if VADA confirms an adverse finding, Whyte will be given the benefit of doubt, as Miller was.
