Jake Paul Only Stands to Lose Credibility Against Chavez Jr.

Jake Paul continues to fleece the public by fighting either no-hopers or folks way past their primes while claiming he’s on the verge of becoming a great fighter. It continues with his June 28 contest against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Paul, his rabid followers, and others in the boxing community wanna suggest that Chavez Jr. is a step-up in competition. The truth is that he is fighting a 39-year-old, washed-up former world champion who is more known for his fight with substance abuse and not having the discipline and commitment of his famous father and Hall of Famer, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.

When will Paul have the cajónes to fight a top 20 opponent – someone at or close to their prime? If he were to defeat Chavez Jr. spectacularly, he should get no credit. If he loses, it proves once and for all that, as a professional fighter, Paul is nothing more than a complete hype job.
